Planning a Picture project.

Personal Photograph Projects
This page is my own personal photograph project, how I have experimented with the use of my camera, exposure, aperture, and shutter speeds, to help me understand more of how my camera works, also what worked well, what settings I was using at the time of the picture. what I liked or didn't like about the results.
Motion
When I am traveling in the passengers seat of our truck, I like to take pictures of the surrounding areas. This could be landscapes, or objects that I find interesting, to see what happens, how they will look as a finished result. Most of the time you can see some movement in the photos, or something to show movement, but not always, sometimes you get a really good photograph that you may not normally achieve, due to the area, like in the middle of the road, or the centre of the motorway.
Here are some examples of my travels showing motion (or not) by this I mean you cant always tell the photo has been taking while the photographer was in motion.
Image 1 - I love this image, The sun was high and bright this day, we was just setting off from being stopped at the traffic light when I took this picture, I love the shadow outline of the van and the way the tarmac is enhanced by the shadow.
Image 2 - Was taken on the motorway through the front window of the truck, coming past the power station near Wetherby - Yorkshire.
Image 4 power station - its the same power station as above, but in black & white, and cropped differently, to show the contrast of the 2 images.
Image 5 - Taken at random from the truck, it was a bright day and the windmill appeared to me to stand out as it glistened with sun light.
Image 6 - Images 6 & 7 Are the actually the same place, but taken at different times, so you can see in this image which I changed to Black & White the bridge and tower looking out over the reservoir
Image 7 - This is the second half of the picture, but I chose to keep this one in colour to show the green landscape.
Image 8 - The sheep on the bridge, I love this one, just wished I could have been closer or had a lens that would have zoomed in a bit better.
Image 9 -I wanted to capture the tall chimney - I think personally the light on the left hand side of the picture spoils the view, but I could always crop this with light room.
Image 10 - Accident , this photo shows a policeman putting cones out due to an accident which is just out of view.
All the images 1 - 10 were shot on a pre set picture format on the Nikon D5300 - Sports Mode, which has a large Aperture, roughly F2.8 and a high ISO approx. - 800 -2000 depending on the light. the shutter speed can vary too, approx. 1/500 - 1/800 again depending on the light, the camera automatically changes itself to suit the environment. Because its on sports mode it can take up to 5 pictures in quick session.

Monster Jam Motor Event Cardiff, Wales, August 2016
For my 50th birthday, my partner, Martin, bought me tickets to go and see the Monster trucks, in Cardiff, wales. I had never seen the trucks, and thought it was something I never would have been interested in, ( I do think it was more for him !! ) However we got to go into the pits to see the trucks close up and meet the drivers, who you could have photographs with and get their autographs. Before the big event and main show.
Here is a small selection of some of the images I had taken in the pits.

| Image 2 - ISO 720 18 mm F6.5 1/15 sec - auto no flash. This image made me smile, as there is a young girl posing and all this man was looking at was the engine of the car. |
